美麗的西藏

在喜马拉雅山北侧，有一片广阔、宁静和生机盎然的土地。这就是西藏。这里有白雪皑皑的山峰、湛蓝深邃的高原湖泊，也有茂密的原始森林和高原特有的珍离异兽。西藏面积120万平方公里，人口232万，其中95％是藏族。这里是世界上最高的高原，平均海拔4000米。
布达拉宫
布达拉宫始建于公元7世纪，是藏王松赞干布为远嫁西藏的唐朝文成公主而建。在拉萨海拔3,700多米的红山上建造了999间房屋的宫宇－－布达拉宫。宫堡依山而建，现占地41万平方米，建筑面积13万平方米，宫体主楼13层,高115米,全部为石木结构，5座宫支持覆盖镏金铜瓦，金光灿烂，气势雄伟，是藏族古建筑艺术的精华。被誉为高原圣殿。在当地信仰藏传佛教的人民心中，这坐小山犹如观音菩萨居住的普陀山，因而用藏语称此为布达拉（普陀之意）。

托林寺
土林环抱的托林寺为西藏名寺，是古格王子益西沃于11世纪初创建,位于扎达县城西北隅。
在藏族历史上，托林寺的地位举足轻重。著名的益西沃、阿底峡、仁钦桑布等任务的故事都以托林寺为背景展开。完好时的托林寺由迦萨殿、白殿、十八罗汉殿、米勒佛殿、护法神殿阿底峡殿、仁钦桑布译师殿以及众多僧舍、佛塔林构成，规模宏大，而今已很难从遗存的断墙残塔窥见当初的规模格局了。
托林寺的建筑风格和壁画明显直接受尼泊尔和印度的影响，是各地的建筑和佛像风格的集大成者。印度高僧阿底峡曾在这里讲经著述，弘传佛法。此后，许多高僧相继在此留下足迹。
现存的托林寺的主殿，是一座坛城式建筑，造型典雅，建构奇特，四面的高塔象征四大护法金刚，殿内供奉了许多镏金佛像。其中的壁画保存完好，里面的壁画仍栩栩如生，全赖文革期间幸运地作了公社粮仓。
因处于土林的峡谷中，红墙与土林相映生辉又别具一番壮丽。每每有人摇动经筒，沿土林间的小道绕托林寺转经。此番情景也让人生出许多感慨。
